​                 Thank you for visiting my web site. Here is my brief bio. I hope you enjoy my website and we can get to know eachother through music.


My name is Miki Tomita.
I earned a bachelers degree in piano performance from Aichi University of Fine Arts and Music in Aichi, Japan.
I came to the United States in 1989 and continued my postgraduate studies in Piano Pedagogy at the Columbia University Teachers' College.
My teachers include Kozaburo Hirai, Takejiro Hirai, and critically acclaimed concert pianist, Grant Johannesen.
I have done many perforances, one of which was at Canegie hall in the World Peace Youth Culture Festival sponsored by SGI and UNICEF with other artists such as Herbie Hancock and Art Garfunkel, a memory I hold very close to my heart. I also concertizes regulary as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the tri-state area.
I am an instructor of piano, music theory and solfege, and is a member of the Professional Music Teachers' Guild of New Jersey.
